    I think phong means that it happens when the content is wider than the layout, it stretches individual cells and the banner shifts over to the left.

    It happens to me in IE6 on wide posts (wide images or code lines)...

    I've considered doing a new layout for WDF but many people think that the current one is great and doesn't need much updating.

    FWIW I've noticed the problem before, but there isn't much I can do about it.

    I like the layout you have. I've seen the layout get messed up a few times by wide images posted in a thread, but I'm willing to deal with it, because I really like the current layout.
