That's my question. Pretty straight forward. Seem like this is one of the most prolific design forums. Is it the best? Are there any others you go to? If not, what makes WDF.net better than the others?

Why? People are friendly. When they aren't, the moderators take care of it. Also the part where there's no spam. And the part where people tend to know what they're talking about :-)

I'm a member of a few other HTML boards ... 2 of them (this one and another) you can find me every day when I need a break from testing apps

This one is a bit "slower" (not as many posts in one day) than the other I go to but the different sections are much better divised in this one.

    How's that:alien:
    [a web design portfolio - Currently NOT AVAILABLE for work | web design | Re-coding | PSD-to-HTML]
    I'm also on: virb - facebook - twitter - flickr - del.icio.us

This forum is probably the best web design forum I know of.

As karinne says, some days the forum can be a bit slow, but theres normally something to browse.

The members here are excellent, I speak for myself, and some others here, that when a question is asked, we go out of our way sometimes to help.

    In short, I love WDF!

I have been surprised at how many awesome, quick responses I get on this site and I was just wondering whether this was just the spirit of web developers -- and all forums across the net were like this -- or whether I had, luckily, become a member of a particularly awesome forum.

I guess it is the latter. Although it seems there is a sort of commraderie between web developers too -- that even extends to newbies like myself.

Now I feel compelled to contribute more by responding to others. Although I may not be of much help until I learn more. But still, I can comment more on design aspects of other's sites...

    Anyway, thanks for the responses.

Anyway, thanks for all the input.

Yeah I have found this forum uniquely friendly, I attribute a big portion of that to the mods - they run a tight ship here. But, yes I have also found many web developers to be friendly. I too am a member of other web design forums, but find this one the best.
