    Can you make a little [rating] tag? I think it would be a cool little thing, just make it display an image of how many out of 5 stars. It would be pretty cool for the "How's My Site" Forum... do something like

    I love your site!
    [rating]4.5[/rating] And it would display 4.5 stars

    Just an idea.. I'd code it except I've never worked with vB and dont' exactly feel like purchasing it just to do that

    Speaking of custom tags, did you guys that you can make custom tags with JSP? They look like this:

    <tt:tag1 attr1="obj1" value1="value" />
    <tt:tag2 attr1="obj1" />

    and you can specify what they do in your "tag library" descriptor. It's a pretty sweet add-in, allowing you to add programming elements with normal XML syntax. ASP.NET has followed suit and now has the same functionality of custom-tags.

    They're cool, but require separate classes for each one (and each time the tag is recompiled, Tomcat needs to be restarted...grr).

    Remember, vB's custom tags work by specifying what HTML to use to wrap the contents of the tag, and I'm not sure how I could get images to show up like that. I could turn thread ratings on in that forum, possibly.

    I feel your frustration

    When I'm doing class development in Java, I keep my "Services" panel open with Apache Tomcat selected. Then, when I recompile, I just alt+tab over and click the restart button :-P

    WinRAR, it's a decompressor (like WinZip). Inside are just gifs and the psd.

    .rar added to attachments.

    I'm just going to hijack the thread ratings system because no other forum is using it.
