hey, designers here is a layer in PS that gives images, text , or w/e a good professional look, this is for young designers so its not intended for well seasoned professionals b/c they will most likely know about it already. in Photoshop create your layer than add this effect, in the layers go to pixelate----than to-----fragement, usually when you fragement something 2-3 times it should be enough. this gives a good look to an object or text. a pixelate///fragment trick with text goes like this, create your text than duplicate that text layer. after that select the duplicated copy, than go to pixelate///fragment, do this 2-3 times however you like it than go to freetransform which i do believe is in the edit tab, but i am not sure, than make the copied layer a little larger, not a lot but a little. from there you can go and change the hue/saturation, located on the image tab than, the adjustment sub category, than hue/saturation change the color on the duplicated copy to give a pixelate///fragment background of any color you want. its kinda a good effect for you younger designers that can be used throughout your design career.
