I can't seem to be able to reply to a thread in the Request a Service forum, although it says
You may create threads, may reply to threads,
may post attachments, and may edit your posts.
I hope this can get straightened out so that I can make an important reply to a thread there, and that I spent so much time writing as well :ermm:

I think that that forum is locked to stop replies. The idea is that you contact the poster by some other means such as PM or E-mail.

The reason it was locked (and Filburt correct me if I'm wrong) is that people were spamming threads that were months old.

Alright, I understand. But I rather dislike it like this; how about auto-locking the older threads, or maybe stopping threads from getting bumped to the top? So then old threads wouldn't get much attention anyways.

That is strange. It must be reading the permissions wrong.

Either way, read the sticky thread in that forum.
