Quick Reply or the normal reply form? If it's the former, it's a known design issue that "can't" be fixed.

That's what the Jelsoft developers say, not me.

Ahh.. then they're lying or something. It could easily be prevented had the software checked whether someone was logged in before rendering the quick reply... then they'd have to log in to use it in the first place. There's a lot of different solutions, but that'd be the most obvious, easiest one.

The Quick Reply here isn't supported by them.

It has to do with remembering the POST data across pages. I suggested a solution but it was shot down, so oh well. The Quick Reply is built into vB3 so it's more permission-aware.

Heh... Jelsoft's team could care less about vBulletin 2.x unless it's a major security issue. They're pretty much working on the 3.x series exclusively now. They've got a kniche in the market, and now people buy liscences just because that's what other people do.. they don't have to worry about loosing any customers, so they wont care that a feature they implemented doesn't work. I've tried pointing out flaws in other people's boards and I usually get a reply like "it's an isolated incident and only you can reproduce it" find something funny in that sentence? isolated... yet I can reproduce it... Invision Board is the only company I've found that actually will look into something and fix it if you ask them. So I guess just wait for vb3 upgrade.

Both, really, but both have to be fixed for it to work perfectly.

They often don't reply to bugs listed for vBulletin 2 anymore. Given that vBulletin 3 is hardly a stable product for as widescale a use as WDF, I'm disappointed.
