I was wondering if there is you have much more of an idea as to when the WDF V4 will be launched? I have read a few posts about it but thought you may be able to give a little more information out about it?

    If not then no wories.

    Thank you,
    Daniel.

It will be January 1st, 2004, or when vB 3.0.2 is released, whichever is later.

    Ah so fairly soon then?

Is it all pretty much complete now? Just a bit of tweaking left?

    Thanks,
    Daniel.

It's very far from complete. Only a good chunk of forumhome has been ported, along with some usability tweaks in forumdisplay.

There is an installation of vBulletin 3 using WDF data backed up from a week or so ago running, but only myself and the WDF moderators can access it. The response has been mixed; it's just a matter of playing around until it suddenly looks good.

Right ok, well good luck to you with the rest of it, I look forward to seeing it when it's released and I expect most of the others do as well.

    Cheers,
    Daniel Oliver.

I suddenly realized that this must be the reason we haven't seen too much of you recently. All MOD's of this site are generally fairly active! (like you should, beeing mod's and all).

Lately, you've all been a bit absent! Is this why?

Don't forget, THIS is the main forum. Still active, still the best forum (at least layout-wise) on the web today!!!

    Don't forget your "customers" guys!

    PS!
You haven't been TOTALLY absent. You're just noticeably "less present" than before.

    Miss you all!

All the best for the NewYear!

    Filburt's no mod, he's a lowly admin.

FYI, mods don't have to be active. The role itself is to keep the peace usually, not necessarily to rile up the crowd. We just happen to be mods who post a lot, that's all

As you can see by my .sig, I mod a couple of other sites. Some I post in a lot, others I only read and post when I want to or deem necessary. WDF just happens to be a site that needs constant modding, as the site tends to be the target of shameful twits, which we happily string up in the Hall of Shame.

    Hi Wired!

I know filb isn't a mod, "just" the proprietor of the turf.

However, we would like to see you post a lot :classic:

Also keep in mind it's holiday season... don't know about the rest of you, but I've been busy working my job, working on a few people's websites, meeting with them, dealing with presents, xmas, having two houses full of families over (separately, mom & dad are divorced so I get the wonderful gift of having people from four different families over all at once) not to mention having to do my usual stuff that I do while I'm at home (and not at school).
The holiday season is busy for most people.. so that's probably why people aren't posting as much.

It takes far more time to maintain WDF than to post a lot. Besides, I encourage user-to-user conversation whenever possible.
