    I know some of the internet "slang" words, e.g. LOL and LMAO and IMO etc... but there are some I do not know, like ARAIK among others. Please can somebody post a little dictionary, or a link to one such thing if there is one) explaining this? I know it would help newcomers too, maybe even post a "WDF Dictionary" on the subject in one of the forums, i dunno.

    OK - The ones I can think of right now -

    LOL - Laughs out loud
    LMAO - Laughing/laughs my *** off
    IMO - In my opinion
    IMHO - in my honest opinion
    AFAIK - As for as I know
    AFAICS - As far as I can see
    FYI - For your Information
    ROFL(MAO) - Rolls on floor laughing
    ATM - at the moment

    There's quite a few more but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

    Yeah - some of them are pretty stupid. LOL really gets on my nerves - are they really sitting at their PC laughing out loud?

    I personally think LOL is the best way to acknowledge something funny online, because "very funny" might be interpreted as a sarcastic comment, whereas "heh" doesn't sound like you found it very funny, and a long line of "hahahahahahah" will make you look like an idiot
