    If you mean why HTML is turned off in posts, it is to prevent security issues. If that isn't what you mean, please clarify.

    It was my preferred forum when I started WDF in July 2002, and given that I had already spent the money and donors renew the Member's Area access, why change?

    He's asking about when certain URLs end in .html instead of the std php stuff. It's rare here IMHO that you'll see the HTML endings.

    The .html endings only appear when you click on a thread from inside the forum it belongs to.. like if I was in the WDF Questions and Comments forum and clicked on this thread, I'd get the following link: http://www.webdesignforums.net/i_was_wondering_12906t.html

    I may be wrong xarst but in member area there is the downloads of ".php/.php3/.html etc" version.
    (I do know that vb support isnt for that forum, so I won't continue )
