    CSS Layout (part one)

I am writing a three part tutorial on creating css layouts. Everybody has heard about the need to code to webstandards including CSS. Most designers are used to using CSS to format their text and background colors, thats easy. But did you know that it is also capabile of laying out your whole site? When you remove tables from your code you get more then just bragging rights.. you get a better document. But how does it work?

The first part deals with understanding your parts.
The second part will get into actually positioning elements.
The thrid part will cover some tips and tricks.

Note: I am also going to write an addium in part one to include the very important float property.
