Can you hgave subdomains on this domain?

It would be very useful if you could simply go to:

htmlandcss.webdesignforums.net, instead of clicking through the site. Very useful if you are planning on posting a new topic quickly.

    Just a thought :smoker:

I don't know, I tend to look through topics and search for them before I post a new one. I think this is lilkely to take a large(ish) amount of time to set-up, even if it is possible. Not sure whether it would be worth the extra effort though.

Subdomains are possible (webmail.webdesignforums.net was orginally intended for vBMS) but it presents cookie problems in which you would be logged out each time you visit one of the subdomains. Also wdf.net itself is already an addon domain name, and subdomains for it in CPanel do not seem to work.

What version of CPanel do you have? My host uses CPanel 9.2 and I have the ability to add subdomains to my addon domains. What you could do is create "htmlandcss.webdesignforums.net" as a subdomain and then just make that page forward users to www.webdesignforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=3.

    Yeah, referring that:
http://webdesignforums.net and http://www.webdesignforums.net are two separate subdomains...

I think he meant that webdesignforums.net is a secondary domain on the main account of turtletips.com. WDF is merely a subfolder of the turtletips directory. If you typed www.turtletips.com/correctsubfolder OR correctsubfolder.turtletips.com, you'd get WDF. Through CPanel you can point domains to your subfolders, and i've been able to point subdomains to these secondary domains too.

(Sidenote, I found the correct subfolder but thought Filburt might not want it posted publicly)
