I've been looking at the site www.hardfind.com, and I think I could do a much better job of that sort of system.

    The question:
Would you guys sign up to a system that allows members to enter a product they either want to sell or buy, and automatically extracts keywords and compares it to other products in the system to find good matches (ie, finds someone selling the item you want to buy or vice versa)?

Anyway, i can't think of a name that describes it that isn't taken. I really liked direct deals, but, alas, taken. If noone here can come up with one, i think im just going to use Rombiki. (an old domain of mine)
If its not in Family Guy its not worth it.

That sounds like www.half.com . You can create a wishlist of items you want, and also list items you have to sell. When an item is matched to a wishlist, a transaction takes place. I think Half has a slight edge in traffic over you, so I'd go with Half.

spluf's got a point. It's one thing to have the idea and be able to do the tech end. It's another thing entirely to market it against sites like half.com .

Personally, I wouldn't bother if I were you. Too much trouble, too little reward.

    Go to merriam webster dictionary
http://www.m-w.com/dictionary.htm and plug in words like 'half' or 'hard' into the thesaurus to find a name for your site! Goodluck!
