    For the Europeans...

The football that Beckham missed the penalty with in Euro 2004 is currently on eBay and going for 10 million euros (~6.5million) on eBay. Anybody fancy making a bid?

I find it funny that not only is it not guaranteed that it is actually the ball, but this event will probably be forgotten about within a few years.

    10,000,000 Euros = 12,389,000 US Dollars

I don't see why someone would waste millions of dollars on something that probably cost $10 to make.

I dont know if I find the current price of the ball or the amount of people who have bid on it more disturbing, especially since this guy has no feedback...

12.4 million dollars.. I could find alot more to do with that money then buy a soccer ball.. opps i mean football.

But that is still a right waste of money, you could buy a sports car for that. Plus I don't think this would be much of an investment, because I don't see the price of the ball rising much for the reason I mentioned before, that this event will be soon forgotten.

Lucky bugger who caught the ball though.

Actually, i have doubts that it'll ever be forgotten. Things like this tend to stay in peoples minds forever. Once again part of the blame goes down to David Beckham for losing out of a major trophy, even though the Penalty Spot did look pretty messed up, he should have stomped it down like everyone else. Anyways enough about this, if the ball does go on sell, i'll bid for it myself, hopefully no higher than 50.

It's already been sold for 18,000 to http://www.goldenpalace.com. I saw it on Sky Sports News.
