    Hey guys,

First of all, for those of you out there who may be wondering why I haven't been posting quite as often, I'm starting to see a new girl...hence this post.

On her Windows XP machine, there's a toolbar that got put there by something called lop.com. I've tried Ad-Aware, NoAdware, and two manual removal techniques to get rid of the thing and nothing seems to work.

Since my own obsessive nature won't allow me to rest until this sucker gets solved, has anyone got any ideas (or a free removal tool)?

    Thanks.

Download CWShredder, run it. May or may not fix it. If not, download and run hijackthis, post log here (or PM me) or better yet over at the HoH.

You can also try SpyBot Search and Destroy

I had lop.com once but I removed it manually I think. Can't really remember though...

I had lop.com as well. So annoying. I went into Add/Remove Programs and removed it myself I think. I might have e-mailed them and asked how you get rid of it. Try that

Brak: I refuse to put any descendant of Almost Online onto a machine if I can avoid it. :cross-eyed:

Thanks to everyone else for your suggestions. DO: I'd prefer the manual way, so if you can find whatever way you used, could you forward it on? Thanks, man.

GAME> After your wild alligations I asked the mozilla foundation about your AOL refrences... they've never had anything to do with AOL in thier lifetime Where did you get that from?

EDIT: Unless you're talking about AOL's $2M donation to the Mozilla foundation? And you're holding that against them, umm... I have no words.

Actually, AOL does own Netscape but it is the brand they own, they take mozilla add some AOL stuff and package it as Netscape.

When I have to remove something I first look in the addremove program thing, then I do a search on my hardrive for folders or files with the same name.
