I dont know how many people are keeping up with the Olympics but it has been on almost exclusivly here.. I had to comment on Paul Hamm's performace in the mens all around gymnastics. It is one of my all best olympic moments and ranks right next to Gardner's defeat over the 'unbeatable' Karelin in the Sydney 2000 games. That was a true Rocky story if there ever was one..
In the mens all around, Paul Hamm was battling china's Yang Wei for the top spot after the first two events, but after a tumble in vault that put him in 12th everytying seemed lost. Then amazingly he did an almost flawless parallel bar routine, witch put him back up a few spots, but his best chances was maybe a bronze. Then a truly amazing highbar with included three releses and a solid dismount landed them the gold with a margin of only 0.012 points!!
I am glad I was able to witness that moment instead of reading about it the next day..
