Hi, I want to learn a computer language. I have beggining/intermidieate knowladge of PHP. I know some XML. Something that isn't hard to learn would be a plus.

Java, then. It may not be easy if all you know is PHP, but you will grow to love it over PHP.

Just FYI, if you have no purpose for learning a language... you're going to get bored and start hating it really fast. I'd advise learning a language when you need one, or make up some project to that you'll need it for.

I reccomend python.. Its fairly easy to learn, and robust. I have tried to dabble in Java and got frightened off. But then again maybe thats because I am just timid when it comes to programming.
