Remote Syndication System (I believe). It is a specific form of XML that is used to deliver time-based information to end clients.

View the actual source of http://www.webdesignforums.net/external.php?type=rss to view the raw XML.

It's a constantly updated XML file (usually) that's based upon the dynamic content of the site itself. I use bloglines.com myself (so does Brak) to read RSS news feeds. I have just over 100 sites on my list.

    Oh Thanks! Filburt1 and Wired

I just opened the url what Filburt1 suggested but there are already posts written there which are in wdf's live bookmark

Now I understood what is rss's raw xml data but how can I add a forum's posts in RSS?

Do you mean you want your own forum to have its own rss feed?

The "live bookmark" you speak of is actually a new feature in Firefox (and a kickass one).

IMO RSS is revolutionizing the internet. It's brought a whole new meaning to online journalism and helped the blogging community evolve into something that's well respected (and apparently paying up to $300/word during political debates)

Oh, and it's only Really Simple Syndication. None of those others
