Hi Folks, I'm doing a survey for my postgrad studies. The aim is to answer the following question:

What's your hit rate - how many of your ideas make it into your portfolio?

    1. About a third or less.
    2. About half or less.
    3. About two thirds.
    4. More than two thirds.

I'd be most grateful if you could take a few seconds to complete my online survey at

    http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=82465672930

There is only one question. You don't need to give any identifying information.

I'll post the results when my survey is finished.

    Thanks in advance,

    Anthony

This was a bit odd, you asked about hit rate but were reffing to how many pieces of work go into a portfolio. I think of hit rate as how many people visit a site..

    Hi Folks,

Perhaps I shouldn't use the words "hit rate" - fair point about the confusion with the web term.

I am trying to gain a view on the number of design ideas that we get that actually become reality, ie finished work that you can add to your portfolio, that you might show to a new employer, client, etc.

Once I have a view on this, the next step in my research is to determine what prevents ideas from becoming reality.
