Spam affects us all. What we do about it is why I am posting this thread.

Outlook has a nice spam-filtering function which works well, and theres the $37 mailwasher that checks your mail before you do etc.

I am curios to find out what YOU use to combat spam. Im trying to find the best solution for all the spam that we get in our network here...

    Any suggestions?

I'm using the build-in anti-spam function in Mozilla Thunderbird, which works great :-D

In the beginning of times (when I used Outlook), I used Spamfighter

    Serverside, I'd recommend SpamAssassin

I kept my current email address 'clean', no posting it online. Two or more years worth of use and I've not received anything I didn't ask for. My ISP has some sort of anit-spam system in place anyway. It's better to try and prevent spam than attemping to cure it at a later stage.

    (I use Outlook Express)

Hotmail is a completely different story, but I've given up on that one.

Gmail is the best. Rarely do I get spam making it into the inbox, although I get lots of spam.

As for my other addresses, I never post them online. On your website, have a contact form that does not reveal your address. It's easier to keep spam out than to get it out
