About 10 years ago I used to use a small app called something like BMP to BAT which converted bitmap images to DOS friendly files so that they could be called from BAT files.

I'm trying to find it again but so far no luck. It's a long shot but has anybody come across anything that would do that job?

BAT files are not image files - they are text files that contain commands in BATches.

But for image conversion, nothing beats Imagemagick. http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php . It's quite magical

I'm aware of what a batch file is, I've been using them for more than a decade .

I used to use a small exe that would convert a BMP to BAT (possibly COM) to allow DOS to display images. Imagemagick can't do that as far as I can see.

    Thanks for the suggestion though.
