    HOw long does it usually take for a sub domain to resolve??
    Is it about the same time as a domain 24-48 hours...

    Usually immediately. Subdomains resolve based on a request to the master domain.

    Sometimes hosting control panels update hourly, especially where they have large clusters. So an hours wait isn't uncommon.
