I want to make a Battlefeild 2 map, but to install the editor you need to have Battlefield 2 installed, and I don't have it installed on the computer which I am going to use the editor on. So I was wondering if I could somehow fake install BF2 with regedit so I could use the editor.

As a generally useless reply: what good is a map editor if you can't test the map in the game itself?

But I can, I have access to two computers with BF2, just, the computer at my house is too slow to run the game and I can't spend 10 hours at my friends making a map.

You can test a map in the editor without going into the game.

Ummm. Why don't you install BF2 on your machine but not actually play it?

There are many ways that games use to check that they are installed properly, so trying to find how BF2 may be futile...
