I got my laptop today. woot.

Windows finds my wireless connection, and it prompts me for the WEP/WPA key when I try to connect, which is fine.

Then, I am told to wait while Windows talks to my network.. after a minute or 2 of this, the dialog dissappears and I am not connected.

It is not my wireless connection as that is what is powering this post

    Any help is appreciated, Thanks

    Welcome to Windows wireless networking.

I had this problem too. The only solution, rather than smashing my tablet plus its companion restore DVD, was to install Intel PROset and use that instead.

Make sure your contacting hardware (wireless card or antenna or whatever in your hardware section) is configured to accept an incoming IP from the router.

    I.e.
Make sure that the TCP/IP protocol (open properties for the hardware in question) is not locked to a certain IP address, or a certain DNS.
