Anyone seeing Pirates of the Carribean this weekend? May see it @ Citywalk (Universal Studios) tonight, or tomorrow locally. Dunno if I want to drag myself ALL the way down there just for it. Awesome theater, but not that awesome.

Apparently A Scanner Darkly isn't playing locally for another 3 weeks

I'm hoping to see it this weekend, but what with the third place game and the final of the World Cup both this weekend, it may have to wait...

Well, I know the answer for me is `soccer'. It's a question of `does Pirates also fit in there' :-P

Just got back from it, great movie. Ended up seeing it around the corner. The 3rd movie's called Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Can't wait.

I want to see it, but I'm not a movie-theatre-going kind of person. I just saw the first one a few days ago though and I thought it was brilliant, so I might break my anti-theatre stance.

I'm always curious when people walk out of movies. Was it that bad? I heard it was getting some bad reviews.

Eddie, there are some movies you just have to see on the big screen. Star Wars is a good example of it being better on the big screen.

I personally thought that it got a bit, well, far-fetched...

I understand that it's an interpretation of an old ocean legend but still...

Yup, which is exactly why I saw Star Wars on the big screen. That's one I wouldn't have missed. In fact, I skipped class to see it opening day at noon.

Movies just have to really catch my attention for me to go.
