    50's Rockabilly and 60's Garage.
80's revival - like Fuzztones , Cramps etc. etc.
New Wave (Stranglers early albums, Pistols Buzzcocks)
"Big" bluesy rock ' n roll. Like the guy above me, Zeppelin, Stones.
Dub Reggae - King Tubby, Mad Professor etc.
Swing as well - Domino, Ellington, Basie, that sort of stuff. Uptempo and big. Although Ellington's slow numbers are his forte really but .......
Electronica - loads of types, I am a dj (deep abstract and jazzy house music - a minority thing), and I attempt to make this although haven't got very far yet.

The ability to enjoy music of all sorts, while at the same time beeing able to detach my emotional (musical) involvement from words like 'trance', doesn't really make me feel like I missed something important.

My all time favourites are btw The Beatles.

However, there are new things that grab my attention daily. The latest beeing a vocal/classical guitar version of 'Hallelujah' originally written by Leonard Cohen. You can listen/download it from Itunes for close to nothing.
(if you search for 'Kurt Nilsen', you'll find the album).

BTW, I've played keyboard/piano/synth for xx years, and enjoy all styles greatly (with the exception of Hip Hop which I find noisy and boring. Some of their lyrics though, are good for poems. (human beatbox excepted though, from my indiffernce to Hip Hop).

the Crystal Method is by far my favorite group.. I also like to listen to Fluke, Grooverider, NIN, & FearFactory..

Filburt.. have you herd the new Nike mix by the crystal method.. its a mix they actually put together for athletes to work out to.. they put some thought into it to..the first part of the track is for the warm up then the intensity increases..

I've heard some of it, I think. Some of their songs are great, and some I can't stand at all.

I'd post a link to my last.fm page, if the damn last.fm software would actually upload my music lists. Seems that it sort of does, since I saw a song I tagged as a test once, but then disappeared.
