I really don't know why but there are IE only sites... Does anyone else besides me think this sucks and besides that is a little against the law.

I don't know why but this is makes me incredibly angry. Why! Why would they force you to use an inferior browser. Why block out just about every web aware internet user about? Its so retarded.

Due to technical reasons, you can only access MapleGlobal.com by using Internet Explorer.
    Converted to English.

"We are too dumb/lazy to code properly. As a result all compliant browsers aren't welcome."

Now please change the URL you posted to http://www.nexon(dot)net/ We don't want to help there search ranking now do we.

EDIT: Also they link to IE6 as the latest version of the browser... wheres the spastic smilie?

I have yet to encounter a notable site that requires IE...except for some internal Microsoft pages like their former BetaPlace.

It's probably because they're using ASP .NET and it explodes in anything but IE. Not that it should...

    Good point Eddy.
Maybe people will get it now that IE7 finally starting doing some of the things that FF has been doing all along.

I somehow doubt ASP.NET explodes in non-IE browsers. Filburt's love for C# makes me think otherwise :-P

ASP.NET 2.0 seems to work fine in Firefox, or at least degrade properly.

My work's web mail server only works on IE, which is ironic for me, because, having a Mac, it makes it impossible to check my work mail from home, and at work, I use Outlook so...

As to why... some people are backwards, some people are slow... all it means is the smart people don't hang out with them :-)

People who only use IE aren't really your friends.
