I was trying to buy www.tao.com a couple years ago. This is about as premium as a name gets. 3 letters, real word, very marketable, with several cash-rich businesses using the name. The owner was asking $300,000. We got him down to $100,000 after some negotiation. Although the deal didn't go through, it gives you some idea of domain name value. The name as since sold, at a price not disclosed to me.
