With premium, what do you get exactly??

It just says no adverts, but i use an ad blocker anyways so it removes all of them regardless...

    Do you become a mod?

Just basically whats the list of additions you get for spending your hard earned cash. =)

    Cheers

You do NOT become a mod. It only removes ads. If you like the site, please don't use an ad blocker. Even the staff sees ads.

Thanks for that wired, but you havn't acctually told me what you get for paying money towards the forum. I will NOT be spending money on something I know nothing about. There surely has to be more additions you get for going premium, because if it is just to remove adverts then its pointless paying isn't it.

There's nothing to tell as you already stated it (not to mention it's on the upgrade page itself):
    http://www.webdesignforums.net/account/upgrades
Want to support WebDesignForums and ditch those pesky adverts? By becoming a premium member, you'll get ad free browsing around WebDesignForums.net and help support continuing improvements to the site.
Having said that, there is a hidden sub-forum for premium members, however it was set up by the former owners and I have no idea if it's currently part of the current premium member access.

For you and your ad blocker, yes, paying may be "pointless", however it may not be pointless to others who appreciate the site and would like to help with its upkeep.

Since the only information the staff has at its disposal about it is the upgrade page itself, I'd suggest you contact the owners directly (http://www.forumfoundry.com/4-2/), and by all means please post any additional information you get from them here.

He's got a good point, though. Premiums should get added inbox size and/or bigger signature (maybe with graphics).

Even better, give them dofollow links in their posts and sigs... that alone would make it worth it!

I have no problems with the ads. I guess I sort of ignore them.
Even as a staff member, I see the ads. If it takes those ads to keep
the forum online, then so be it. That's an issue to take-up with the site owners.

    George,
To become a mod, you contribute as you have been doing, gain trust from
other forum members, and eventually, you might be asked by a staff member
if you wish to be a mod. I don't know how many mods there are now, and what
the current owners are planning on for future moderators.

At least they don't have the god-awful red-blue blinking ad anymore.
    Thanks for the info!
