Well a buddy asked for a favor, and needless to say its a favor i dont know how to do what i want. Well he does a lot of volunteering at the local ball park and wanted a site that he could be able to post if theres a rain out or even scheduled for the community. However, i would like to do this automatically but im unaware how to design and build a site so i dont have to give him access to my web hosting provider. Any solutions or ideas?? links and tutorials would be great!!

Set up a WordPress site in a subdomain on your server and put a calendar plugin on it. Create a user for him that has Editor privileges. That way he can log in and manage the calendar inside the WP dashboard without ever having access to anything else on your server, and you won't have to do the updates for him.

There's a plugin for WP that let's you post from almost anywhere you can get a browser window open. If he has e-mail, he can probably open a browser. Check it out...http://codex.wordpress.org/Press_This
