Just because a font appears to be "ugly" on its own doesn't mean it can't be made into a work of art. This is one of the things that every designer aspires to do. I didn't follow the meaning behind the title either. Is that an "Oh God" as in "Oh God Comic Sans font is horrid" or is that an "Oh God why would anyone want to make a case for Comic Sans font"? Little specificity here?

The site by itself is satire, and my title was a joke. A seemingly poorly executed one, but a joke nonetheless. I disagree with you when you say that you can make a bad font into a work of art. It is bad exactly because you cannot use it anywhere to make it look good. Now, that's mostly subjective, but it appears to be a popular consensus.

Popular consensus is defined as what group of people? Member's of WDF? The online community in general? Typographers? Who?

Meh. The Anti-Comic-Sans movement overstates its case.
