Any of you guys ski or snowboard? If so where is the best place in Canada or USA to go?

I am going to book a skiing holiday soon, but Europe is so expensive at the time I want to go.

I used to LOVE skiing.. this was before the average lift ticket price reached $50 in tahoe... it just got too expensive for me to go... sad how it works. Some great places in nor-cal: Mammoth and Northstar, although the entire tahoe area has tons of great ski-resorts. But, mammoth is probably more known than any of tahoe's.

I agree, lift passes are expensive, but they do need to maintain the slopes and it is hard to make a profit all year round.

    Thanks

Even if you don't ski, where is the place to go?

I don't snowboard, I ski, but I might learn to. Last time I went skiing to Italy, It was great. I was looking through a few brochures today and I was thinking of going to Vail/Breckenridge. Can't wait

I have never done anything like that, because I can't stand the heat in hot climates. Although I did try parascending when I was a kiddy. Skiing is great, shame it is expensive, so I can't go very often.
