I got a problem with my browser..
when i type a something in the address bar(ex: woa)
it goes to overture search, i tried ignoring this, but it bothers me. I want it to go back to the old MSN search. How can i remove this.
I never installed anything that would do this.

Assuming that you are using IE. Go to view >> explorer bars >> search. It will open the search side bar. It has a couple of buttons around the top, "Custom" being one of them. Click on "Custom" and see if you can change your options there.

I'd suspect you've got something else on your PC - either intentionally or unintentionally installed. You been near any obviously dodgy websites recently?

Try Search>Customize>Use one Service>MSN. If it still resorts back to overture go to add/remove programs see if there's some overture IE toolbar in there or something.

IE is a veritable pain to uninstall. Usually I time it with a partial reformat.

And after using IE 6 - again - I have - again - realised why I much preferred IE 5 - namely, that it didn't crash on me anywhere near as frequently.

Btw - are you sure you haven't got spyware on your system? That's too odd a bug. I've not had to check before, but is it the registry you'd need to look at?

Exactly why I use Mozilla Firebird. I find that using IE as my default browser causes viruses, spyware, and unstable system. Every since I've quit using IE - my system runs amazingly smooth. You can't uninstall IE.. not on purpose, although it did once uninstall itself from my machine (god knows how it did it, a reformat had to take place).

I'm actually warming to the possibility of running two browers. Maybe.
