Hay Hay Hay now, easy on the Canadians, eh?
I spent 17 hours with no power. I just loved it. Of couse thats what my wife and I do on our holidays is go up to the camp where there is no power, no tv, no computer, no running water. It's so much like heaven That I could live up there. (I still miss talking to you guys though ;-) )
From what I have heard is that the problem exists around the lake Erire power grid that goes all around the lake.
If you are going to blame anyone about the power, ask this question.
Why is it taking so long to find the problem? And why is CNN basicly telling the terrorists that this is our weakest link and this is where you should attack? So far Ontario I've heard is staying out of the rolling blackouts by reducing power usage. But Toronto Mayor wants to be guarrentied that power will stay on in his city regardless. Thats getting the other towns Mayors hopping Mad. So I expect that the power is going to be down again tomorrow :-P
I grew up with my Grandmother at home, and she grew up during the 30's (depression) so I learned to store and stack and be prepared for the worst. I was able to cook, and light my house without power or a generator. BBQ, candles, Coleman lantern, Coleman stove,
Food is another problem. You have to cook your meat that is going bad so it can stay longer.
this is long enought, better let somebody else talk. HEHEHE :-D
