We also can't close them using Xenforo software. We can, however, delete them.

Asking someone to stop posting on a thread is nothing more than censorship and bullying. Besides, what did you expect it to accomplish? The reason I commented wasn't just for you...I had a hunch you'd come back with the vested-interest high-and-mighty arguments you did (none of which are valid). I said something because someone might read your post, think it's a good idea, and try it him/herself without understanding the pitfalls.

In other words, I can't get the bad idea out of your head...you're going to crash and burn regardless of what anyone tells you. I can sure keep it from getting into someone else's, however, which is the reason I haven't closed or deleted this thread. it's junk to you, but it's educational material to others in the form of cautionary example...both in how not to market and how not to respond to legitimate criticism.

If another mod deletes it...that's his/her decision. If that happens, however, know that it wasn't me.

Like I said already, you won't stop until everyone agrees with you and bows down to your "genius".

Hi, there. I am a mod, and I have to say that you need to stop for a moment and think about what you are posting. You are getting very near the point where you can be suspended for lack of respect in your posts. You can get your ideas across without sarcasm and nastiness.

And in fact, I very nearly deleted your link, as it is against the rules. Saying you did not know that self-promotion was against the rules only says to me that you don't care enough about these forums to read the rules and understand how they work.

You say these people "have no idea about what the website is and how it works. I'm not really going to waste time explaining it to you since you didn't take the time to visit the page and read about it yourself". They went to the trouble to take the time to go and look at your Facebook page, and then gave you honest feedback. If you think they're wrong, it's easy enough to say "I appreciate your time, bro, but I think you're wrong, and I intend to go ahead as planned". You are lucky to have access to advice from people who have been in this business much longer than you. If you choose to ignore it, that's your privilege, but attacking them for trying to help you is extremely rude.

I never asked for feedback in this area, why is everyone fixated on that? And I only started the sarcastic comments once I received some ignorant and snide reply. And no, he did not completely check the facebook page before giving his "opinion"; partially the reason why this escalated to the way it did.

I'm sorry. I thought you understood that these forums exist for people to help each other out.
I don't see snide remarks by any one but you in the first six or seven posts.
Nobody set out to mock you, they just wanted to give you some advice based on experience.
Since you have now made it clear that the post was merely to promote the Facebook page, I'll go ahead and delete the link, since it is against the rules.

Can no one read on this forum? English obviously isn't your first language.

You're beating a dead horse, why are you still commenting on this thread?

Are you serious? It's an open forum. Anyone can comment on anything they want. Just because you don't want to hear something doesn't mean the rest of us don't have the right to say something.

Dictating to other people in a free society usually leads to the opposite of the intended effect. You want to censor people? Get your own site launched and then you can crush all the dissenting opinion on it you want...of course, you won't like the results there, either, but at least you'll have gotten your bubble back.
