now.. I have to use a WinME computer at home sometimes (I hate it) however I have noticed that it selectively anti-aliases text... which is pretty cool. For example, it will anti-alias any bold text that is arial above 10pt. Also veyr selective other things... is there a way to enable this for Win2k? All text anti aliasing would be cool (like some X interfaces)... it's a really nice addition to computers I like... but I don't want XP or ClearType (It's buggier than all getout last time I tried it on a friends machine).

I don't know about 2K, but XP anti-aliases even without ClearType.

I found it... it's display properties>effects>smooth on-screen fonts. I was under the impression that XP didnt' anti-alias all text without clear type..a nd that it was a big deal that clear type wasn't enabled by default. OSX and X-windows' interfaces anti-aliasing kicks arse I know It's great stuff.. really.
