    Whenever i download a file from a site, it automatically downloads to the temp net folder without asking anything and opens it up. i wanna choose the Save As... button again
    anyway to fix this?

    I think you have to save something in a different folder and it will come up with that folder each time.

    If not, try looking around in tools --> internet options in IE.

    Well it doesnt ask me where to save. i click the link, then the download window opens up and downloads it, it then opens up the file that i just downloaded.

    i looked around everywhere in intenet options. i even restarted settings. it didnt work

    Try messing with the file association for the extension in question in Windows Explorer.

    to edit file types, go to My Computer, go to "View > Folder Options > File Types"
    u cud try right clicking the link to the download if messing with the file types doesnt work, and choosing "Save Target As" (in IE, in Moz browsers it's "Save Link As", dunno about others)
