Ok, so I'm not the most politically correct person, on the contrary, I'm usually the guy that points out the elephant in the room, or the 800 lb gorilla, and I laughed at the king in in new suit.

So, what is this "Supporting Vendor" tag now ?

What does it mean ? When did it come to be ? ( obviously last night ), What is the criteria ? $$$ ?, what should we expect from members displaying that ? What are they going to be allowed to do ? ( self promotion, ignore the rules that everyone else has to follow ?), Why was there not some kind of announcement to the group ?

Details from someone actually associated with the forum, or at least from someone who's been around and actually contributed to the forum, would be a plus.

Thanks, look forward to hearing about this .

I checked out the new member 4Nines and found a profile post between him and H4L (Hosted for Life) from back on March 22.
Apparently H4L got in touch with veraderock and asked for an intro to someone who I assume is one of the owners, asking for them to contact him to discuss a proposal for supporting the forum.

I logged in to the part of the Admin panel I have access to and found out that the new member 4Nines has an email address at forumfoundry.com . I also saw that H4L has been made a Content Moderator for the new forum "Hosted for Life" that was created by 4Nines.

So I guess he contacted the owners directly and made some kind of a deal? It's ironic that we worry about the owners not paying attention to the forums and then when they do, it's this.

The "Supporting Vendors" program is a paid opportunity for vendors to have their own forum to discuss their products/services, and a banner ad. We don't typically advertise the program because it takes a lot of setup, but if you know of anyone interested in becoming a Supporting Vendor, please direct them to user 4Nines .
