I know a lot of people weren't really following this, but Eric Meyer, creator of the beloved/behated(?) CSS reset an just all around web design/dev giant recently lost his 6-year old daughter Rebecca to cancer. For those who follow his blog, it shifted late last year from the occasional web-related postings to an inside view of what he was going through.

Rebecca's favorite color was purple, and I thought this was a pretty cool tribute: Eric's Archived Thoughts: rebeccapurple

Thats a pretty cool idea. I saw an interview with him last night, in all honesty it was the first time i have heard of him.

I know who he is, and no disrespect intended, but it's a bad idea. Not just because he released the blight known as the CSS reset, but because it doesn't really describe the color and serves no real purpose other than an emotional reaction.
