Is there anyway to just change that ugly grey color to a more... white color? Without having something like windowsblinds, because I've tried it and it ate my computer (well, more specifically Internet Explorer) last time I tried it and it slowed my comptuer down =/ That and I don't want to buy XP.... Any help is appreciated

Not entirely sure what you mean by this.

you can change the grey window furniture background if you right click the desktop and choose properties. then go to the appearance tab and change the 3D Object to a different colour. You can change pretty much everything to do with the way windows are displayed. Just have an experiment with the various Items in the list.

The 3d object changes everything that is classed as a 3d object (basically the grey window border, taskbar, start menu, etc..)

I've just changed the colour to test this and I now have a lovely lime green start menu and taskbar. See the example attached.

If that's not what you're looking for can you be more explicit?

excellent That's pretty much what I wanted, well... exactly what I was expecting windows was capable. Now if only I could change the 3D colors to not be 3D
