Hey ya'll.. .just wondering a good suggestion for an inexpensive video game that would be fun... keep in mind my computer ain't that great 800mhz duron, 312ram, GF2 Video Card (64mb) So... yeah, online capabilities would always be a plus, but price is always nice

And I'll be back to my usual posting sometime soon.. .still getting settled down here at school (and as always having too much fun )

Quake 3 is still great for LAN play. So can Unreal Tournament (not 2003 which won't run well on that). SimCity 4 is fun but is slow on my system which is already more powerful than yours (abeit slightly).

Get Half-Life, the game of the year edition. It should be under $20 bucks by now. You can get cr*p load of mods for half-life. The most popular online ones are Team Fortress ( classic and 2), and Counter Strike.

Well it really depends on what kind of game you're into. I like Quake 3 for FPS (First Person Shooter), Age of Mythology or Warcraft 3 for RTS (Real Time Strategy), and Everquest (I guess) for MMORPG (Massively Multiperson Online Role Playing Game).... although I haven't played EQ in a long long time, but I hear people are still playing it. Also, there's a new one... Shadowbane, I think it's called?

    LOL @ all the acronyms.

I still think Age Of Empires 2 is great for the odd hour or so.

I'm mostly into RTS (Starcraft, WArcraft II) I tried WCIII, liked first player missions but I still think it lacks in multiplayer. I played CS for a while... but that was when I was playing on dorm lan and knew almost everyone playing, don't think I'd like playing random people. And I do have insanely fast DSL, so that's all good Keep 'em comin!

Carmageddon 2 and Carmageddon 3: TDR
I think 3 supports online play, but I never tried it. They are so addicting. Very fun. Amazon.com has plenty of C3:TDR "used and new" for $3.99 and up.
