What does the view from your office window look like?

I live in a small isolated beautiful Blue Ridge mt. valley . We had 10 inches of fluffy snow Thursday night and Friday. It looks like a picture postcard wonderland in here. Fall season is even more beautiful. My husband restored an old timber frame barn here on our property 10 years ago for my office. It's a joy for all of us to work in and the views outside our office windows...if you like mountain living. I'll be the first to admit, coming from a large noisy city in Russia...it took a whole lot of of getting use too but I wouldn't want to live any other place but right here now. It's so quiet here I had to lean how to sleep all over again lol.

Well before seeing your photos I was considering posting a photo, but all the photos I take now are really depressing to look at.

Now that could be a matter of opinion. We're waiting to see your photos. It would be nice to see where all the forum regulars live and work and the new members too.

My office is in a basement. I can't exactly take a picture of the outside myself.

I work in a mule barn and you work in a basement...nothing wrong with that. I've got a 26 old client runs an Ebay store out of her basement making a 6 figure income.

I prefer it, other than the fact that I have to pass by my son to get to my barbecue for lunchtime in warmer weather. I love the little guy, but he makes it really tough to grill meat. I've had to learn to hold him in one arm and flip meat with the other.

I don't necessarily have an office. I code on my laptop so I work in just about every room in the house or wherever I find myself. Its 9pm but I'll put up a photo of whats out my front door another day.

I will say that I find a lot of my answers come from a good ride on my motorcycle. Something about riding gets my brain going. I'd recommend it to everyone!

For you that work in a basement, especially with no windows. I have a friend that had no choice but to have her home office in a basement with no widows. She's a professional interior decorator and here is her fix for it.

She found 4 old, and I mean old wooden frame windows. She had a professional photography friend take her some pictures of a mountain view, a beach view, a flower garden view and a pretty cow pasture.

She cut 1/4 masonite the size of the back of the windows. she sprayed light adhesive contact cement on the masonite and then put the pics on them. Hung them on the wall and put the old wooden widows in front of the pics. Looks awesome.

She did more things to to make it a nice relaxing environment to work in and uses soft lightening.

It's a 7 mile drive on a secondary gravel road into our valley. We go up and then we go down into our valley.Weekend before last we had a pile of snow dumped on us here in our valley and that's a lot of snow for Georgia. We have to go over a small mountain and then down in the valley to get here.No doubt about it, everyone here has 4 x 4 vehicles and we would not won't to live any other place. Most of the time the county treats our road and then plows if for us. If we have ice, then it's best to be at home with plenty of food before it hits.
