Do any of you know of any sites where you can buy extra gadgets for your pc to make it look differet? Like lights, see through plastic, stuff like that?

I'm not sure what exactly to look for but know people do it and would like to have a look at some sites, for when I get my new one. If of course I ever save up enough money and persuade parents to take part in the buying.

    Thank you,
    Daniel

Personally I think it's a complete waste of money: it can add heat and adds absolutely no function to the computer. It even draws more power so your PSU is more likely to die earlier.

It's a waste of time? Couldn't one say that about any hobby?

We all customise our OS and software so why not our PC?

As long as you stay within the limitations of the PSU you will not adversely affect it's life.

    Two sites I visit are:

    www.overclockers.co.uk
    www.overclock.co.uk

The main modification I have made to my PC is the addition of variable speed fans. This has added extra cooling to improve the performance and useful life of the components and allows me to reduce the fan speed when the PC does not have a heavy workload to minimise noise.

The PC also has a window and is internally lit. Very useful for explaining to friends kids exactly what is going on inside a computer and it looks nice too. Hey, if Apple can do it then can't we all?

Cheers for the cool links, some are pretty cool.

It may be pointless but I want my pc to blend in with the rest of my room, and right now it doesnt and it looks boring.
