What are your top 10 favorite programs, in the order you would most miss them?

    Mine are...

    1. Windows XP (gotta have an OS, and this one is the most stable)
    2. Internet Explorer (I know, it's integrated, but I've had it break before and it sucks)
    3. WinAmp
    4. Notepad (can't write a website without it)
    5. ReadPlease Plus (screen reader, I use it to read all my emails, incoming and outgoing, all my posts, ebooks and websites ... man am I lazy...)
    6. ePrompter (wouldn't have lost to ReadPlease, except that without readplease I would never make it through my inbox. Great program for checking you email, and it autopatches!)
    7. Flash MX 2004
    8. Apache and moduals (still rember developing PHP right on my WebServer before I got this setup)
    9. Kazaa Lite (for sharing only legal media I produce myself, and release under the GNU, of coarse )
    10. Off By One Browser (HTML 4.01 browser, no popups, no dhtml, no active x. The web the way they should have left it. Just barley beat out paint shop pro)

So, that is my list. Please make a list, because it will be cool to compare them and mabey discover a few new interesting programs.

    Thanks

    1. Photoshop - I'm flat out spoiled, no I've never bought it, but I've never used an illegal copy either.
    2. Winamp - CD's?? No, no no, those are a pain in the arse. Every single CD I purchase goes to mp3 at 256kbs within hours of purchase.
    3. Word - Hey, I use this constantly
    4. Mozilla Firebird - My god... what browsing has evolved to
    5. Trillian - With AIMs new sound ads... ugh. Trillian 2.0 is a dream and well worth the cost.
    6. Excel - Couldn't imagine engineering without this valuble program
    7. Apache - I love makin websites, what can I say
    8. PHP - Again...
    9. MySQL - Again...
    10. Spider Solitare - My latest obsession...

    1. Dreamweaver - Makes coding so much quicker with code suggestions and has great FTP integration and local server testing.

    2. Photoshop - A damn near perfect web graphics program, just wish I had CS

    3. Winamp - Music, yeah.

    4. mIRC - on the whole time...

    5. Outlook Express - Outlook without the loading time, brilliance.

    6. ReadPlease 2003 - Best proof reader.ever.

    7. IE6 - more compatible with the web than firebird, so there.

    8. Sibelius - Perfect print quality for music that I compose.

    9. WinZip - Ah, compressed.

    10. Flash MX 2004 - Would be higher if it hadn't corrupted a file that took 10 hours to create.

    2. Proxy Master (Let's me connect to various PC's from the main one)
    3. CAM Unzip (much faster than Winzip)
    4. Homesite 5 (Doesn't get in the way like Dreamweaver does)
    5. Notepad (Great for stripping formatting)
    6. phpTriad (Gotta have a PHP server)
    7. IIS5 (Gotta have an ASP server)
    8. Paint Shop Pro 7 (Been using this since the v1.2 shareware)

Templating engine used by phpBB is NOT Smarty.
    /**
    * Template class. By Nathan Codding of the phpBB group.
    * The interface was originally inspired by PHPLib templates,
    * and the template file formats are quite similar.
    *
    */
    BTW, my list:

    1. Photoshop CS (yay, finally got the upgrade)
    2. Dreamweaver MX 2004
    3. WinAmp
    4. Outlook XP
    5. Zend Studio 3
    6. SecureCRT (SSH client)
    7. EditPlus
    8. TimeStamp (keep track of my working time on projects).
    9. PHP/mySQL/Apache (with their extensions, modules, extras all at 9 since they are all used together)
    10. Mozilla Firebird

Interesting - Smarty is almost exactly the same in structure and use as phpBB - maybe one has "inspired" the other. Either way it's still a nice engine to use.

Smarty is good, but I find it just too big. phpBB is inspired by "PHPLib" templates, which only one file for the whole thing.
