Ok, so we need a thread where we can compare gifts and brag and show off our "Big Wheels" and such. I know we don't all celebrate Xmas, but assuming you're not a witness, you likely give and receive gifts this time of year (thus the "X"mas).

So what did everyone get? I guess I'll start !!! :-P

Ok, my girlfriend gave me a weekend of track days at Panoz Racing School in Atlanta, GA. This is a perfect gift for me, because my new car arrives in late May / early June. I'll be able to take it up there and really see what it can do! Also, I went by my dealership today and they gave me a full order guide and a test drive! I guess I could consider that my Xmas gift from them. ;-)

Steve, You've gotta stop by Orlando on your way up to Atlanta. I'd love to see that thing on the track! ehehe

As for my Hannukah gifts, my aunt sent me an AMEX check thing with some tastycake chocolate chip cookies from PA (Gawd do those things taste good!), and my mom paid for my new roller blades. Combine that with the uber cheap Axim I got, a new laptop, and Star Wars Galaxies (all thanks to some extra college loan money) and I'm a happy camper!

I got, so far (nothing fancy really)

    - A freeview box (www.freeview.co.uk) which doesn't work yet because we haven't got a compatible ariel
    - A new long-sleeved t-shirt/short sleeved t-shirt set
    - The mandatory Cadbury selection box.
    - Some underwear & washing stuff.

After lunch, when I open the rest of my presents we'll see what else I got...

I got computer parts!! I'm building a new computer, so I picked out the parts and the rents gave me the money for some of them. Here are the specs:
    • Coolermaster Centurion Case
    • Asus P4P800 Deluxe Motherboard (800 mhz FSB!)
    • P4 3.0ghz
    • 512 mb RAM
    • 36 gb 15,000 RPM WD Raptor drive (for the OS)
    • Seagate 120gb 7200 rpm drive
    • Radeon 7500 graphics card (with dual display)
    • Logitech Cordless MX Duo
    • Currently reusing two CD-ROM drives from my old machine until I decide to replace them. Not too much of a priority right now, I'll probably wait til I see a good deal on DVD-RW that does it all.

So yeah, my Christmas tree looked like the Best Buy truck hit it. The machine is already up and running, but my parents wrapped some of the boxes to remind me that they paid for the new beast. :-)

Money and a Java book that I can use at work. Fortunately my new laptop (god forbid if it should ever ship) is now completely cost covered now thanks in addition to the sale of my iBook.
