We here at WDF Inc. aim to please. We may be strict on advertising, but we have a good time doing it. The Ban Button is quite a powerful tool, you don't want to cross its path.

Hehe, yeah. There are some nastier remakes of spammer posts in there.

Here's the original Red Mark thread by Me:

This thread is turning into the "Hall of Shame" Hall of Fame. I like it. ;-)

    Excellent examples.

Don't think you even need to ban them. They'll be too embarrassed to ever post here again (or probably any other place for that matter).

I don't think that I have ever used "View New Posts", I just sign up for a forum and every time something pops out there it's in my mail, and Outlook is always on so it's easier.
My favourites are all the contests, "How's my site", "Graphics & Flash", "Starting Out" and the others but i don't visit them often. Talking for "Hall Of Shame", filburt have you updated the "Hall Of Fame"???

The Hall of Fame gets updated according to my schedule (i.e., when I feel like it).

They post solely to advertise, not caring if they get banned.

Not to revitalize an old thread, but...
It just struck me, most of you people only] check "new posts". Why?

Personally, I check primarily the forums I'M interested in. Which is PHP & MySQL + Javascript and other languages. I primarily post there (not because I'm a capacity on any of these subjects, but because they are closest to my field of interest).
If you only read the latest posts section, you'll get stuck in the "how's my site" section, as this is the one that without comparison gets the most posts.

(Exception Mossoi, who is transfixed on the Hall Of Shame (quality entertainment I agree))

It seems, from time to time, that some of you post in different forums (because they are, right there and then, the newest posts), but don't bother to follow up on your own posts! This is very frustrating for the people who answer to your posts, but never get a reply, because by time you read WDF again, that post is below the line of "newest posts".

If you DO answer to questions, please follow them up! Don't leave your posts hanging in the air when the "questioning guy" asks for a clarification, or whatever. Please be consistent!

This is an international forum, meaning that when half of you (US) are awake writing answers, the poor guy who made the original post, is well asleep half a world away. When he/she awakes, your answers are WAY DOWN on the "new posts" list. (and vica versa)

    Please FOLLOW UP!!

Well there is no "line". When you go to View Newest Posts, it shows you the posts that have been added since the last time you personally have checked out the site. I never miss a new post myself. While I do avoid certain sections (ASP for example), I usually base what I will read depending on the title of the thread. I personally go through the VNP section to the very end.

As for the time zone thing, I'm up very late usually, so I see the brits posting. I'm pretty sure some of the other mods are up late as well, and even so, we'll just see them in the morning.
