When I use IE 6 to browse, I get a 'hang' if it tries to open up a new window.

I even downloaded the latest version, but the problem's still there. Means I have to copy and paste a URL in the address bar to stop IE trying to open a new window.

This is proving to be a pain in the :-X as you can imagine. Unfortunately I'm not techie enough to know how to approach the prob.

Any help from you geniuses (genii?) out there?

I'm certainly not a genius, but that problem could be for a lot of reasons. I suggest you to use the useless IE only for sites that don't work with any other (the 0.01% of the sites. and all of the 0.01% sites have the problem only on the "online shopping sites"). So get Firebird (Opera is IMO better, but isn't free).
