I've got to install Gentoo, and It's going to be my choice. It system of compiling everything to your needs and the USE variable (with that you can select or unselect kernel modules and compilation options so it saves hd space and loads faster, because if you aren't going to use something, why does it have to be there?

It's counterpart is that it's difficult to install. I installed RH8 and 9 beeing even more noob than now without problems, but Gentoo has taken me at least 10 hours of thinking in front of the PC.

I want to try Debian still, because it has more packages than any other and his package system is the best of all. (APT)

Anyway- I recommend to all Gentoo. It's lightweight and fast, and with a very active community!
