    My photoshop suddenly wont work!it was working fine the other day. now when i open it, it starts opening then as soon as it starts initializing, it closes. no alerts, nothing. any ideas why? it really is a ball-ache!

    If it was a trial, it should still issue some sort of dialog (i.e. "your trial period is over...").

    Probably some affiliated libraries or other components have become corrupted. You don't mention your OS, but older Windows versions had poor protection against software induced DLL overwriting. (shared components beeing replaced by program installs. Sometimes the newer dll-versions were incompatible to other system resources sharing these files)

    Try (like JR suggested) a complete uninstall followed by a re-install. If it's not OS related, then check Adobe's FAQ to see if you can find a match, or contact their support.

    i already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. still doesnt work. Im using windows 2000. Its a buddy's full copy. i reckon im going to try formatting the comp and reinstalling. hopefully it will work!

    It's not legal for you to use somebody else's copy. Please buy your own license or use the trial.
