I live about 30 Km of Madrid, and I've luck that none of my family or friends have got affected by this terrorist attack.
But I want to give my support to all these families and people affected by this horrorific attack.
It's still uncertain of who has done it; maybe ETA has done it (ETA: a terrorist group trying to get their own homeland at the north of Spain, but in place of doing to it "talking", they try to get their objectives killing civilians, kidnapping people, etc ), but Al Qaeda has just tell that they have done it...

Again, I give my support to the affected people.

I watched the news this morning, and have justwatched the 10pm news. Al Qaeda have apparently admitted the attacks. I do not understand why Madrid is the chosen target? Exactly 2 years and 6 months since September 11th, and yet the world hasn't moved on... I send out my wishes to all those affected in this atrocity.

Al Qaeda said a year ago or so that he would attack all the allies of the US. That's why I think he attacked Madrid.

My prayers are with the victims and their families. It is sad to see such a thing happen in any country.

Well, not really. We still don't know who did it. It is mostly a speculation that either ETA or Al Qaeda could have done it. Hopefully, we'll find out soon.

    This is purely factual:

Spain along with the UK were the major allies of the USA during the invasion of Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom.
That's what made them a target of Al Qaeda I believe.

I must add it's still being debated who the actual bomber was, that's just some evidence supporting the idea that al-Qaeda was behind the attack.

Once again, please refrain from political statements. You guys may think you're being sneaky not making a 'political statement' but you are indeed.

A factual statement is the like: 10 bombs went off in different trains in Madrid earlier this week killing hundreds and injuring thousands. My condolences go out to their families.

Not: I believe the cookie monster did this because blah blah blah.
