    I can't really decide what code to use. Here is my problem:

    Ok lets say I wanted to make it for my site where when you click a link to display a picture the pic is displayed in this one area. Then when you click another link that old pic gets replaced with the new pic and so on and so on. I mean I could just make a whole bunch of individual pages but is there I can do this with css or php or something else like that.

    Javascript would be your best solution. Think about how a rollover works, think about the onClick property and with just a little bit of imagination you can do this easily.

    Optionally, you could use javascript + display css property

    Or... you could use the :active pseudo property in CSS, but that is almost not supported at all (not IE6 as a recall).

    Do you know the type of script I would use? I mean I know some javascript but I am not sure if I know enough to write this type of script up.
